OKIBO is developing mobile, multi-purpose, autonomous robots for use in construction sites.

The company’s first product is a robot for wall and ceiling plastering that will be used to simplify and lower costs of handling wall isolation, solving the huge lack of professional workers in this field.

The robot is designed for the harsh conditions of a construction site. It has 3D scanning capabilities (2-3 mm accuracy), computer vision, floor to ceiling reach, autonomous movement and an agile industrial robotic arm.

The robot will be able to precisely identify the area for application, pre-plan the working path and apply the material (e.g., premixed compound, gypsum, cement) autonomously, in an accurate and expedited fashion.
