March, 29th 2017 . – CEMEX Ventures launches its first Open Call which will run from March 29th till May 24th 2017. The call is open to anyone who is willing to explore innovative and/or technology driven business models within the construction ecosystem, such as start ups, entrepreneurs, and innovators. CEMEX Ventures will consider any idea at any stage of maturity; from those at a conceptual stage, to those more developed with a prototype in place.
Ideas to be considered should not be restricted only to the building materials arena, but should focus on our four key areas affecting the broader construction ecosystem: urban development, connectivity improvements within the construction value chain, new construction trends and technologies, and creation and development of new project finance resources.
Based on CEMEX Ventures selection criteria, the most promising ideas or projects will be pitched to our Top Management. The winning ideas from the pitch phase will receive financial support, mentorship, and access to key industry expertise and infrastructure to help accelerate the continued growth of their ideas.
